The employees will now work from Monday to Saturday with immediate effect instead of the earlier five-day week, a BSEB release said.
The lunch hour has also been cut short to half-an-hour now from 1:30 pm to 2 pm, Hare Ram Pandey, Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) said in the release.
This decision has been taken with an aim to provide better service to consumers through quick disposal of work, the DGM said.
Casual leave for the year has been increased to 15 days from 12 days earlier, he said.
