The tower maintained by the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) at Thard village had tilted yesterday afternoon, they said.
"Efforts are on to restore the electricity to the Doda- Kishtwar belt. The NHPC experts are on the job and had set a deadline of 6.30 pm for restoration of the service, but due to some technical problem the power supply could not be restored," Power Development Department (PDD) official told PTI.
The job is almost done and now minor technical issue need to be resolved, he said, adding that the tower apparently titled due to heavy rains that triggered a number of landslides in the area.
