Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat launched in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today launched 'Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat' in the state from Balijore village in Dumka district.
Addressing on the occasion, Das said that so long women were developed, the country would not be developed and whatever projects were being made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being made keeping womens development in mind.
The governments thought is that even the poor families live with dignity, an official release said quoting the chief minister.
Das said the prime minister has set a target of providing gas connections to five crore families by 2019 and to fulfill his dream Jharkhand government is distributing LPG connections along with stones----Jharkhand is the first state where beneficiaries are also getting stoves along with gas connections.
The chief minister said Rs 300 crore was earmarked in the budget for LPG and stove distribution, adding so far, 10 lakh beneficiaries have got the connections and the state has set a target of 28 lakh poor families getting the connections this year.
LPG connections are also giving a clean environment, he said.

He said that Jharkhand is a resourceful state, but could not develop due to some reasons, adding in the last three years it has drawn a new line of development following a stable government.
To change the old system, Das said that the government is directly depositing the money in the account of the beneficiaries.
'Adivasi Vikas Samiti will be set up in tribal populated areas while Gram Vikas Samiti will be set up wherever the tribal population is less with seven members in smaller villages and 11 members in bigger villages, Das said, adding these members would think of development for their villages and decide which type of yojana they require and the government would work upon them.
Saying that poverty would be eradicated by 2022, Das asked that those people not having house, should be identified and give them house under Prime Minister Awas Yojana.
Stating that the image of the village would be changed when the peoples thought changed, Das said that the government was committed to give the rights of the poor.
"Everyone should come forward to make a new Jharkhand," Das said and called upon everyone to take a pledge to make a new Jharkhand by 2022.
Education can eradicate poverty, the chief minister said and called upon all the people to educate their children. Poverty would not be an obstacle in their education, he said, adding "The government is always with you in this regard."
Asking not to differentiate between boys and girls, the chief minister asked everyone to send girls to school as well.
