Pradhan to inaugurate 3-day conference on petroleum industry

Union oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate tomorrow a three-day international conference and exhibition of Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG) which is expected to be attended by more than 1,000 delegates from the oil and gas industry across the globe.
A K Dwivedi, Director (Exploration) ONGC, said at the conference the challenges for industry, technology based solutions, advancements and other issues will be discussed.
"We have taken an eco-friendly initiative by providing all the technical papers and conference proceedings to delegates on pen-drives to economize the use of paper," Dwivedi told reporters on the eve of the conference.
He said the conference is expected to be attended by over 1,000 delegates from over 40 global oil companies and academic institutions that included nearly 350 foreign delegates.

Around 350 paper presentations are expected during the three day conference at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre by oil major ONGC, in association with other oil companies.
