In their debut music track for a Bollywood movie, Kolkata rock band Ballygrunje has composed a song for Hindi flick Prague featuring Kaaminey actor Chandan Roy Sanyal and German Elena Kazan.
"We have shot in College Street Coffee House amidst the regular crowd of students, young poets, painters and others. The most vibrant section of the city. We shot with trams in background, with the typical looking curved windowed wood-tin made Kolkata buses so much part of the city's image, we shot in the dingy lanes of Burrabazar nestling Kumartuli and the boulevard of Alipore, the traiditional downtown," Chandan told PTI about the shooting experience of the movie.
"And the promo song, which was shot in last two days with me, Elena and the band members in the background in different iconic city locales also mirrored the theme of the movie, which is a bridge between the ancient Eastern European city and Kolkata, with the storyline revolving round the love between a city boy and a Czech girl.
"In sync with Prague's look and feel as a movie, we have sought to infuse contemporary rock and Indian classical elements in 'Diljala Hoon Gumshuda Hoon' number to reflect the fusion spirit," leading Ballygrunje member Subhradeep said.
