"We had shot films like 'Raajneeti', 'Aarakshan', 'Chakravyuh' and 'Satyagraha' in Madhya Pradesh. The shooting of four films from our production house would be done in Bhopal and nearby areas. The shooting of these films will begin this month and continue till March next year," Jha said at a session centred around tourism during the ongoing Global Investors Summit here.
"Madhya Pradesh is conducive for shooting because the state government and people here come forward to help filmmakers in their projects. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is just a phone call away if filmmakers need help," he said.
He also wants to set up a permanent film studio, training institute and accommodation facilities for technicians on 22 acres of land at Kerwa near Bhopal, Jha said.
State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had yesterday launched the 'Make in Madhya Pradesh' campaign along the lines of the Prime Minister's 'Make in India' initiative, at the summit which is being attended by as many as 4,500 delegates, including prominent politicians and industrialists.
