Prakash Joshi to paint at event to mark Sino-Indian ties

Noted artist Prakash Bal Joshi will conduct a live painting demonstration here tomorrow at a function to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between India and the People's Republic of China.
Consul General of the People's Republic of China, Zheng Xiyuan, will host a reception for guests from India and artists from China here tomorrow.
A delegation comprising leading luminaries from the world of art and culture is flying to Mumbai to attend the reception, Joshi said.
On exhibit will be the paintings and art work by renowned and respected Chinese artists like Lin Yongsong, Zhu Daoping, Cui Jin and Yin Xioping besides Indian artists such as Manjit Bawa, Paramjit Singh, S Yousuf Ali, Prem Singh, Sidharth, Umesh Varma, Veguri Ravindra Babu and Prashant Salvi.
There will be a live demonstration by Chinese calligraphy artists.
Sculptor Ratilal Kansodaria will create a sculpture and Joshi will conduct a live painting demonstration.
