Mukherjee, who was escorted to a platform by his party workers and leaders after his arrival at NSCBI airport from Delhi, waved at them and seemed overwhelmed by the large turnout.

Mukherjeee will stay the night at his Dhakuria residence and leave for his ancestral house at Kirnahar in Birbhhum district where he will meet his elder sister Annapurna Devi tomorrow afternoon.
