A cultural delegation from India, which includes Sharmila Tagore, Dr Pabitra Bhushan Sircar and a dance drama group from the Sangeet Natak Academy will participate in the closing ceremony on May 6.
Mukherjee would be the Guest of Honour at the event.
The commencement of the joint celebrations, in May 2011, was attended by the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari in Dhaka.
A similar event was held in New Delhi which was attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Bangladeshi Minister of Planning.
The decision to jointly celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Tagore was taken by the Prime Ministers of both countries in January 2010.
During his visit, Mukherjee is scheduled to call on Hasina and meet the Leader of Opposition Begum Khaleda Zia, a statemnt issued by the Indian High Commission here said. PTI SAP AKJ
