Prasad appeared before the court of Shivpal Singh in connection with 38A/96 case pertaining to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 3.31 crore from Dumka treasury in undivided Bihar during the 1990s.
Former MPs Jagdish Sharma and R K Rana were among others who also appeared before the court.
The court fixed June 29 as the next date as two of the accused petitioned that they could not attend the court due to illness.
Altogether 48 people, including former Bihar chief minister Prasad, were made accused in the Dumka treasury case. Fifteen of them have died and two turned government approvers, while two others were acquitted.
Prasad was convicted in the RC 20A-96 case relating to Chaibasa treasury on September 30, 2013. The four-year sentence led to his losing Lok Sabha membership.
