Bhushan tweeted that it was a measure of AAP's "desperation, that after being caught with their pants down, they allege that I had recommended ticket to Sandeep Kumar."
According to Yogendra Yadav, who was also expelled over allegations of anti-party activities, the real problem was that AAP has "turned into an election machine, pursued 'success at all cost'."
AAP leader Ashutosh had earlier dared Bhushan to accept that he had cleared Kumar's name. "...You should have moral courage to accept you approved Sandeep's candidature in 2013 assembly elections?"
"AAP had not undertaken the exercise of filtering its candidates through a due process even after suggestions, warning and red flags by Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav," it said.
