Prashant got it on the basis of 'one country one quota' system. The first place went to Uzbekistan while second and third went to China.
His score in qualification round was 620.6 and he was fifth. He scored 164.7 in the finals. Another shooter from India, Pratik Borse, was ranked sixth in the finals. His scores were 618 and 120.6.
The team consisting of Prashant, Pratik Borse and Gaurav Kumar (612.9) won the silver medal with a total score of 1851.5. China and South Korea bagged the gold and bronze medals, respectively.

Anjum Moudgil won the individual bronze medal in air rifle junior women's event. Her scores were 411.9 and 183.7. Shriyanka Sadangi also reached the finals but was ranked seventh. She shot 410.2 and 100.7. The team of Anjum Moudgil (411.9), Shriyanka Sadangi (410.2) and Elizabeth Koshy (400.8) won the bronze medal with a total score of 1236.7.
The team of Mampi Das (412.3), Gayatri Pawaskar (405.1) and Prachi Gadkari (404.3) was ranked fifth with a total score of 1221.7.
