Prashant assisted director Anurag Basu on the film but after that he did not jump on the bandwagon of making Bollywood films. Rather, he went on to make art films like 'Acharya' and 'Katha'.
"After 'Kites' I left Mumbai and made 'Acharya', and now 'Katha'. After being part of a film like 'Kites' I haven't done anything here. Now that I am done with my second art film, I would want to do something here in Bollywood. I am thinking of moving in here," Prashant told PTI.
"It will be something relating to music, it won't be a serious film. It will be a light-hearted film with action, drama. It will have all the Bollywood elements like romance, comedy, action, song and dance," he added.
Prashant is now planning to meet a few filmmakers in Bollywood.
"I haven't started meeting people but I would do so soon. I have a plan of meeting someone, if it goes well then I would make a film here. It does not matter if I work with a big or small production house," he said.
Prashant is in touch with Basu and he had met him while the director was shooting for 'Barfi!'.

"I haven't got the time to see 'Barfi!'. I wanted to see the film. He (Anurag) had come to Darjeeling for shooting and I had met him there," he said.
Prashant's second directorial film 'Katha' was screened at the 14th Mumbai Film Festival today.
"This is the second time I have come here. Last time my film 'Acharya' was screened here, and this time 'Katha'. I think festivals do help in some or the other way, like reaching to a wider audience or connecting with people. Film festivals help artistic movies get platform," Prashant said.
"We shot 'Katha' in 14 days with a DSLR camera. We had an idea but not a proper script. It is possible to shoot in such a time, it all depends on your working style and actors. The film is over one hour," he added.
