Vincent has been re-signed for the second successive year in a bid to enhance the club's performance at the upcoming Federation Cup.

Vincent's joining is indicative of the fact that the purple brigade is keen to look at avenues to amplify its striking options.

The official signing was executed at the Indian Football Association, West Bengal office in the presence of Nawab Bhattachrya and Alokesh Kundu, the directors of Prayag United and other key IFA officials, a statement from the club said.

The 23-year-old Vincent will surely raise the level of competitiveness on the field with his exposure of having already played in Japan, New Zealand, Australia and India, the release added.

"Kanye Vincent has already played with the team in the previous season and is accustomed with the structure. He has already shown his potential and his goal scoring abilities to us. We also won many matches because of his skilful performance. Therefore in all respect Vicent was the apt choice," Avik Bagchi, football secretary of Prayag United said.

"It was essential to have a foreigner striker in the team considering that we have the Federation Cup ahead. Also, we needed a player to play in unity with Ranti Martins on the fields. Given that Vincent has already played with the team, it was wise that we picked on him rather than explore unknown territories," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Krishnendu Roy, technical Advisor of Prayag United said, "Kanye Vincent has come to play for the club for the second successive year and we are sure his presence will add value to the team."
