Based on specific intelligence provided by army's Gajraj Intelligence, a joint operation was launched at Saokuchi, under Garchuck Police Station, and the militant Leishungbam Bheigyachandra Singh (35) was nabbed yesterday, the sources said.
Three mobile hand sets, seven SIM Cards, two driving licenses, five cheque books, six bank pass books, one Passport, two loose cheque leaves and a scooter recovered from him, the sources said.
Singh had joined PLA in 1996 and underwent armed training in 1998 before joining PREPAK in 2010, they said, adding, he was staying in Guwahati for some time now to manage account transactions for his outfit after receiving money from various sources to be sent to the higher functionaries of the outfit through different bank accounts.
