Prepare welfare plans for all from backward classes: Tel CM to officials

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asked officials to draw up plans that would benefit all communities among backward classes.
Rao, who held a meeting with ministers and officials on welfare of backward classes, directed that programmes be prepared in such a way that families in all the backward classes communities would benefit, a release from his office said.
Such programmes should be implemented from the next month, Rao told officials.
He suggested that financial assistance up to Rs two lakh be provided to those who are not in a position to take up their traditional occupations, the release said.
Rao said he would soon hold meetings with representatives of those engaged in traditional occupations to understand the measures to be taken for their welfare, it added.
