President condoles death of writer Jayakanthan

President Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the passing away of legendary Tamil writer D Jayakanthan.
"In sad demise of D Jayakanthan, we have lost a creative genius who contributed immensely to Tamil literature", Mukherjee said in a release.
Jayakanthan, a winner of Jnanpith and Sahitya Akademi Awards, passed away here on April 8.
