President Ram Nath Kovind and his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Tuesday held a wide range of discussion on issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to expand the economic relations between the two nations.
Kovind is in the European country as part of his three-nation visit to Croatia, Bolivia and Chile to further strengthen bilateral ties between India and the three countries.
"President of India and his counterpart in #Croatia @KolindaGK held wide range of discussions on issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to expand their economic relations," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Ravish Kumar tweeted.
He also offered a bust of Gandhiji to the European nation to mark the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of the Mahatma.
"Remembering Mahatma in Croatia! To mark the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of celebrations of Mahatma, #PresidentKovind offered a bust of Mahatma Gandhi to #Croatia! @KolindaGK," Kumar tweeted.
Earlier, the President was honoured with Croatia's highest civilian award -- the Grand Order of the King of Tomislav.
Kovind, who is the first-ever Indian head of state to visit Croatia, will be in the country till March 28.
