The students from remote town of Bandipora in North Kashmir were accompanied by some children from a school in Noida.
The President, while meeeting the children, stated that "despite differences in language and culture we all were Indians".
The aim of the programme is to provide exposure to the students from Kashmir to the world outside Kashmir Valley so that the students on returning to Kashmir would spread goodwill and the message of peace and prosperity.
"The programme would inculcate the spirit of communal harmony in the young minds for achieving the ultimate aim of national integration," a Rashtapati Bhavan statement said.
