President wishes Malaysia, Trinidad and Tobago on their

President Pranab Mukherjee today extended his greetings to the King and people of Malaysia and President of Trinidad and Tobago on the eve of their National Days tomorrow.
In a message to the King of Malaysia, the President said "On behalf of the government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and the people of Malaysia on the occasion of your National Day."
He said relations between India and Malaysia are marked by traditional friendship and cordiality.
"Our strategic partnership encompasses growing ties in trade and commerce, defence and security, science and technology, education, culture and people-to-people spheres," he said.

The President said India looks forward to strengthening India-Malaysia relations and for advancing regional co-operation and integration.
In a separate message to Trinidad and Tobago, the President said "India and Trinidad and Tobago traditionally enjoy close and friendly relations which have expanded through exchanges of visits at the political, official and people-to-people level. I am confident that relations between the two countries will develop further through common platforms of the Commonwealth and CARICOM.
