The president was speaking after receiving the first copy of a book, titled 'Metaphysics, Morals and Politics', from Amal Kumar Mukhopadhyay, former principal of the erstwhile Presidency College here, at a function at the Raj Bhavan this evening.
The book was released by retired Supreme Court judge Ashok Kumar Ganguly.
On a lighter note, Mukherjee said he was "an average student, rather less than average" as he praised the author with whom he had studied together in college.
