Mukherjee said India stands by the people of both the nations in their difficult hour and also reaffirms its commitment to the global efforts against terrorism.
"India strongly condemns all acts of terror and senseless violence. We believe that the progress of humanity lies in unity, peace, brotherhood and non-violence," he was quoted as saying in a press release issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The President said it was shocking to know about the horrific terrorist attack at a beach in Tunisia and at a mosque Kuwait, both on Friday, which left many innocent people dead.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the Tunisians and tourists of different nationalities who lost their lives. We offer our sincere wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured," he said.
