Prez greets Kazakhstan on the eve of its 25th Independence Day

Cooperation has grown between India and Kazakhstan, which will celebrate its 25th Independence Day tomorrow, and the bilateral relationship will continue to deepen further for the mutual benefit of both the countries, President Pranab Mukherjee said today.
In his message to President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the eve of the country's Independence Day, Mukherjee said "On behalf of the government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend to you and to the people of Kazakhstan warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence."
He said under the wise leadership of Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has made "impressive" progress in all spheres during the last 25 years.
"The close and friendly cooperation between India and Kazakhstan has grown in these years and I am confident that through our common endeavours, our broad based and friendly bilateral relationship will continue to deepen further for the mutual benefit of our peoples," the President said.
"I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for Your Excellency's well-being and success and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Kazakhstan," he added.
Kazakhstan gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
