Prez to inaugurate diamond jubilee celebration of IIPA

President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate diamond jubilee celebrations of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) here on Sunday.
IIPA was set up to build capacity among public servants through training and research with knowledge, skills and behaviour required to manage the task of governance at the Centre and state levels.
The institute's first President was Jawaharlal Nehru as Prime Minister and the present President of IIPA Society is Vice President Md Hamid Ansari.
The major activities of the institute are training, research, advisory services and information dissemination and exchange of experience.
Along with the inaugural programme, IIPA will retain its traditional attractions like e-inauguration of exhibition on 'Sixty Years of IIPA' by click of switch by the President, release of publications of IIPA by T N Chaturvedi, Chairman, IIPA, an official release issued today said.

Besides this, there will be other important events like memorial lectures and cultural events throughout the year, it said.
