On his first official visit to the temple town after assuming the highest office, Mukherjee would arrive at Tirumala on September 8 and after overnight stay offer worship to Lord Venkateswara next day morning,temple officials said today.
The President, who will be on a 20-hour visit to the holy hills, would also inaugurate a massive guest house complex close to the 2000-year old temple, constructed at a cost of Rs.36 crore,Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman K.Bapiraju and Executive Officer L. V. Subrahmanyam.
Later, Mukerjee would spend some time with the pupil of Sri Venkateswara Veda School, they said.
