Prices of base metals move up on global cues

Prices of base metals rose up to Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market on increased buying by stockists amid a firm global trend.
Traders said sentiments were bolstered after base metals rose in global markets as China stepped up stimulus, boosting the demand outlook in the biggest consumer.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months climbed to USD 6,173 a metric tonne, the highest intra-day level since March 26, on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 410 and Rs 1,064-1,069 per kg, respectively.
Zinc ingots, lead ingot and lead imported were also enquired higher by Re 1 each at Rs 117-123, Rs 102 and Rs 103 per kg, respectively.

Zinc ingot Rs 117-123, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,064-1,069, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 410, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 102, Lead imported Rs 103, Aluminium ingots Rs 158, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 159, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 161 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 158.
