Traders said mild demand from retailers led to the rise in select pulses prices but ample stocks position against muted demand kept pressure on other prices.
Meanwhile, the government, which sees better pulses output this year, is now concerned about fall in prices of some lentils, especially moong, to below the MSP level.
The government has fixed the minimum support price (MSP) of moong at Rs 5,225 per quintal for this year.
Moong and its dal chilka local gained Rs 100 each to Rs 4,900-5,400 and Rs 5,400-5,800 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 5,800-6,300 and Rs 6,300-6,500 per quintal.

Kabli gram small variety too edged up by Rs 100 to Rs 8,900-9,300 per quintal.
On the other hand, urad and its dal chilka local eased by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,700-9,800 and Rs 8,900-9,000 per quintal.
Malka local and best quality shed Rs 100 each at Rs 6,800-7,100 and Rs 6,900-7,200 per quintal, respectively.
Peas white and green drifted lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 2,900-2,925 and Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal, respectively.
