Priest, son murdered in temple near Bhilwara

A 71-year-old priest and his son were murdered allegedly by robbers who decamped with a donation box at a temple in Bhilwara district in the wee hours of the day.
Priest Nimmaram, 71 years, was declared brought dead at government hospital while his son Nanuram, 40 years, succumbed to injuries this morning, Bhilwara Superintendent of Police Nitin Deep Blaggan told PTI on telephone.
The incident took place at Devnarayan Temple, devoted to Gujjar community, at Malakhera in Bhilwara, nearly 250 kms from here.
The exact motive for the murder is yet to be ascertained, the SP said, adding old enmity could be a reason behind the crime.
The cash amount in the donation box was also to be verified, he said, adding at the time of crime, the victims were sleeping in the temple which had no doors.
The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem, SP said.
