The police have arrested the prime accused in the April 30 road rage case in which a 30-year-old property dealer was gunned down in Vasundhara area.
Two groups had clashed with each other after Sanjeev's car brushed against Amandeep Singh Dhillon's car parked outside a roadside eatery late at night on Sunday.
Superintendent of Police Aakash Tomar said Meerut-based property dealer Dhillon and his friend Aman had come to dine at the eatery, where Sanjiv and his friend Prince Singh were having dinner.
When Dhillon was going back, his car bushed against Sanajiv's car, which led to an argument between them.
Flying into a rage, Dhillon hit Sanjiv on the head with a brick. Retaliating, Singh fired his licensed pistol and a bullet hit Dhillon in the chest, killing him on the spot.
Sanjeev was arrested on the night of the incident, while Singh was at large since then.
Acting on on a tip-off, the police nabbed Singh from near a school in Vasundhara and seized a .32 bore pistol used in the crime and live cartridges from his possession.
The police said Singh was in the past jailed for looting a jewellery shop in Sector-18, Noida.
