Singer Prince is reportedly all set to headline the first night of Glastonbury festival after being convinced to do so by the festival organiser Michael Eavis.
The 55-year-old musician will be performing for the first time at the famous arts festival, held near Pilton, reported Metro.
A source said, the 'Purple Rain' hitmaker met the festival founder after which he agreed to perform in the festival.
"They met in London and a deal was struck... The reaction towards Prince during his time in the capital has been immense and it cemented his desire to play at Glastonbury," source said.
"He is determined to raise the bar and give a set to remember. There will be a few surprises in store," he added.
Details of this deal come days after the singer's representatives denied claims he would perform at the festival.
