"My priority is to take India's sport to new level," Chautala, younger son of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, said this evening.
The controversy-marred IOA elections today took a dramatic twist with Randhir Singh withdrawing his nomination for the post of President.
Randhir's withdrawal from the contest on a day of dramatic development put an end to the bitter and acrimonious campaign between the rival factions in the run-up to the elections, to be held on December 5.
Chautala welcomed Randhir's decision to withdraw from the contest and said he would look forward to the experienced administrator's inputs in taking the organisation ahead.
"I thank Randhir for withdrawing his nomination and this is precisely what we had been telling him from day one for the unity of IOA. I will do everything to make IOA an efficient organisation," said Chautala.
He denied his side had been running any campaign against Randhir.

"I still reiterate that we enjoy the support of more than 130 member organisations and we are confident we will win this election with a majority.
"We will also explain to the IOC authorities of the realities at the appropriate time and we believe we will be heard in the right spirit," Chautala said.
Talking about his priorities, Chautala said that the first and foremost thing would be to take Indian sports to a new level.
"I would want Randhir to take up the cause of IOA as well and help Indian sport to grow," he said.
Chautala also said that he would soon be speaking to Randhir besides meeting him personally.
