life sentence in a murder case died here this morning following brief illness.
Vijay Kumar Upadhaya, lodged in the district jail here, was suffering from asthma and stomach ailment for several days, Jail Superintendent V K Singh said.
Upadhaya was rushed to a hospital after his condition deteriorated this morning and doctors declared him brought dead, he said.
The inmate belonged to Upadhaypur village in Baldirai area, the Jail Superintendent said adding the exact cause of death would be known only after post mortem.
