The accused, Sahi Ram, a resident of village Dola in Jind district, was arrested within four hours after police flashed information about him in local electronic media, police said here.
Ram was brought to the civil hospital by a police party after he complained of heart pain in the jail and while the policemen were getting an admission slip made at the counter, he managed to escape, they said.
"His photo was flashed in the regional electronic media. Soon one man identified him at Shanti Nagar here and informed the police, which recaptured him within four hours of his escape," police said.
