involved in several theft cases escaped from the sub jail here today, police said.
Ashraff Ali was arrested on June 22 on charges of theft. He was lodged in the sub jail here after court remanded him to judicial custody till July 6.
He had used the electric cable of the lamp pole adjacent to the prison to scale the jail wall.
The Jail officials came to know about the missing of the prisoner, when they counted the prisoners.
A special team had been formed to nab Ashraff Ali, police said.
