Private Bill seeking assembly for Andaman and Nicobar islands

Rajan Sushant (BJP) introduced a Bill to increase the minimum number of members that constitutes a quorum from one-tenth to one-third of the total membership of the House.

The Bill also seeks to provide that the number of sittings of each House of Parliament in all sessions in a calender year shall not be less than 130 days.

Bishnu Pada Ray (BJP) introduced a Bill to provide for the creation of a Legislative Assembly for the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Hamadullah Sayeed (Cong) introduced the Lakshadweep Fishermen (Welfare) Bill for welfare of protection of fishermen, payment of compensation to fishermen affected by natural calamities.
