Pro-Kabaddi champion Patna Pirates honoured at Raj Bhawan

Bihar Governor Satya Pal Mallik today honoured the players, the coach and the officials of Pro-Kabaddi champion team Patna Pirates at a function held at Raj Bhawan here.
Patna Pirates have won the championship thrice in a row -- seasons 3, 4 and 5.
The governor cut a cake to celebrate the Patna side's victory and gifted 'angvastram' to team owner Rajesh V Shah, team CEO Pawan S Rana, coach Ram Meher Singh, captain Pradeep Narwal and other members of the team.
Mallik said the team has earned laurels for Bihar at national and international level.
"I heartily congratulate all the players, coach and officials of the team," he said adding that the function was organised to motivate sportsmen and artistes.
Efforts have been intensified for the development of sports and cultural activities in universities of the state, he said.
