A resolution adopted at a meeting of 12 pro-Tamil outfits decided to observe a bandh on November 12 in the district and seek the cooperation of traders and business establishments to down their shutters, K Ramakrishnan, General Secretary, Periyar Dravida Kazhagam (PDK) said in a release here.
Chaired by MDMK District Secretary Mohan Kumar, the meeting also decided to stage a rail roko at major railway stations that day, in which more than 5,000 persons are likely to participate, he said.
Besides MDMK and PDK, representatives from Nanithanneya Makkal Katchi, Socialist Demoncratic Party of India, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Naam Tamilar Katchi and some like-minded organisations participated in the meeting, he said.
