Pro Vice-Chancellor Clement Sankat interacted with Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor and other senior officials of Punjab Agricultural University, an official release said.
During the interaction, Dhillon suggested the exchange of faculty and students for forging the partnership.
Highlighting the three major components of the university -- research, teaching and extension -- Dhillon said a total of 37 international students from 19 countries have been enrolled in different academic programmes of the PAU.
Besides, he gave information on protected cultivation, seed production, agro-processing technologies, Kisan Melas and other latest modules of transfer of technology, and future thrust areas, the release said.
"This is a model which other agricultural universities should follow," Sankat said, adding that he would like to move forward with this cooperation.
The Pro Vice Chancellor also discussed the agriculture scenario of West Indies with focus on food processing sector, the release said.
