The police will make a thorough probe into the allegations, an official release said quoting Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraborty.
"Students from Jharkhand going to other states for higher or skill development education should be treated well," Chakraborty said.
A high-level meeting chaired by the chief secretary was convened to discuss the case which came to light after some students who had gone for training to a nursing institute at Nellore in Andhra complained that they had been "ill-treated".
Besides police, a team comprising Health and Social Welfare department officials would also investigate the case, the release said quoting Inspector General of Police Sampat Meena.

Giving option to the girls that they could return home or go back to complete their training, the chief secretary suggested them those who got admission in 2013 should go back and complete the course to avoid loss of one year as during mid-semester they would not get admission anywhere.
He also asked the guardians to send their wards only after ascertaining credibility of institutions.
Additional Director General of Police S N Pradhan said if the institute was found guilty then the government of Andhra Pradesh would be approached to take action against the authorities of the institute.
