"Gun is not the solution to the problem but we should also not forget there is social disparity in the background of those who are wielding the gun today," the LJP chief said while addressing a three-day conference of Dalit Sena for Southern states that began here today.
Paswan said that when people fail to get anything from non-violent means, doors of violence open.
The LJP chief demanded that the government should provide reservation in private sector and judiciary and also provide quota in promotion.

The event being attended by Dalit Sena's National President Ramchandra Paswan, LJP Parliamentary Board Chairman Chirag Paswan and other leaders will continue till January 19. Experts from various fields will speak on 30 subjects during the three-day programme.
Talking to PTI, Paswan said that Dalit Sena's North India conference will be held in Sarnath in Uttar Pradesh in April this year.
