A proclaimed offender, evading arrest since May 2016 in a criminal case registered against him, has been apprehended, the police said today.
Identified as Surjit alias Sonu, a resident of village Rehana Jattan, the proclaimed offender was arrested while waiting at his village bus stand, said Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Sikander Singh said.
The police nabbed him on a tip off, said Singh, adding that he was declared soon after the registration of the case against him.
