The producer of upcoming Bollywood film 'Boss' today informed the Delhi High Court that an objectionable word in one of the songs in the movie has been "muted".
Informing a bench of justices N V Ramana and Manmohan, the counsel for the filmmaker said the word in the song has been "muted and the Central Board of Film Certification has issued a certificate in this regard on October 9."
Accepting the submission, the bench disposed of the PIL which contended that the song sung by rapper Honey Singh contained a vulgar word and the trailers are being shown on various TV channels and other media.
The Akshay Kumar-starrer film is scheduled to be released in theatres on October 16.
The bench was hearing the PIL filed by lawyer Sanjay Bhatnagar seeking a stay on the film, contending that without censor board's approval, the song could not be released with such a vulgar word.
The petition had sought a stay on the release of the film till either the word or the song is deleted from the film.
