(HSIIDC) would be a 10 percent shareholder.
He said that as part of its mandate, the GMCBL would engage bus operators, who would be responsible for procuring, deploying, operating and maintaining of the city buses.
About 500 buses were proposed to be deployed in Gurgaon. he said adding that it was proposed to divide the procurement into five packages. In each of the first two packages (Package 1 and Package 2), 100 buses were proposed to be deployed, he added.
He said that Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System (DIMTS) was requested to conduct the bus route planning and rationalisation study covering various services.
The services included planning of bus routes and connectivity of various city nodes, rationalising the existing para transit services or routes and re-organising their operations so that the city area was sufficiently covered by public transport network, he added.
