Project Management Institute to honour academicians

The Project Management Institute of India (PMI), a leading membership association for project management professionals, has instituted 'All India Awards' to honour academicians for their contribution in the field of Project Management.
The awards, carrying a total prize money of Rs 17 lakh, would be presented in three categories -- PMI India Distinguished Fellow Award, PMI India Distinguished Scholar Award and PMI India Young Research Scholar Award, a release issued by the institute here today said.
The organisation has invited nominations for the awards and the last date for submitting entries is on November 30.
The awards would be presented at the PMI India Research and Academic Conference on February 13-15 in Mumbai next year.
Six academicians, one for the Distinguished Fellow category, two for the Distinguished Scholar category and three for the Young Research Scholar category, will be awarded.
The PMI India Awards for academicians is one-of-its-kind recognition in India that honours teachers and professors in the project management discipline, it said.
