Pitampura resident Amit Aggarwal (31) allegedly also called up the owner and senior officials of a real estate company asking them to settle a property related matter or face dire consequences.
But he finally ran out of luck after these two complaints were filed with the Crime Branch within a span of a week.
The accused, now in police custody, revealed that he carried out the crimes after getting influenced by a Bollywood film "Special 26" where a group of people posing as CBI officials executed a heist.
A week later, on October 15, another complaint of similar nature was received from DGM, Human Resources Department, Omaxe Limited, New Delhi. He complained that around 20 days back a person introducing himself as CBI Joint Director started threatening and blackmailing the company's senior officials to either pay Rs 60 lakh each for two plots to two Rohtak-based persons against their earlier deposited amount of Rs 9 lakh each or to settle the matter with them at the earliest, Yadav added.
