Property dealer detained for mowing down man

A property dealer was today detained for allegedly mowing down a man at central Delhi's Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, police said.
The accused, Rajeev, had tried to hide his car in Anand Vihar after the accident, they said, adding the vehicle has been confiscated.
Rajeev was returning from his office at Ansari Gate on Saturday night in his Audi. Manoj was hit by the accused's car and died, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) M S Randhawa said.
The CCTV footage was examined and the businessman was detained, he said.
We are questioning Rajeev and efforts are on to solve the case at the earliest, police added.
