A 28-year-old property dealer was allegedly shot at by his neighbour following a scuffle in east Delhi's Sangam Vihar area.
The property dealer, identified as Sultan, sustained bullet injury on his right hand and was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Police have registered a case of attempt to murder based on his statement.
"The incident took place late on Friday night when the victim's brother Brijmohan who was chatting with his friends outside their house was called by a neighbouring youth.
"An argument between the two led to a scuffle with Brijmohan's friends joining him. Meanwhile, Brijmohan's younger brother Sultan emerged from his house hearing commotion and was hit by a bullet fired by the accused," a police official said.
Police are looking for the accused who fled the spot after the incident.
