"After 'Bapi Bari Jaa' (his first home production), we would bring out a short film about the archaeological treasures in temples lying unrecognised in the state," Prosenjit told PTI.

"We are positive about it. There are a number of obscure temples, having rich archaeological history, having good terracotta work, but not known outside," he said.

To raise awareness and help promote these temples, his Ideas Creations would produce the short film which could be screened on television channels, he said.

Besides, he said, he would make one feature film next year centring old people, after Bapi Bari Jaa's a frothy tale of urban teenage romance, released on December 7.

"I intend to produce feature and short films on issues confronting the common man daily, issues ranging from environment to temple preservation," Prosenjit said.

"This is an exciting phase for Bengali cinema when very young directors look so mature in their debut works, they look like they are 10-film olds," he added.

"We, Ritu-da (director Rituparno Ghosh) and big production houses should join hands to churn out intelligent, and sensible cinema to sustain the audience which is coming back to the theatres," he said.
