Tamil Nadu Thouheet Jamaath (TNTJ) staged a protest outside the Chennai Collectorate here seeking his dismissal.
Secretary of TNTJ North Chennai, Mohammad Sultan, alleged that Umashankar had made 'blasphemous' remarks against Prophet Mohammed and Koran and that videos in this regard were available online.
Umashankar, being a public servant and common to all, making such remarks were not proper, Sultan remarked, adding, therefore the protest was held seeking his dismissal from service.
