Protesters demand revocation of SDM's suspension

Aam Admi Party activists sat on an indefinite dharna at the office of district magistrate here demanding revocation of suspension of SDM Durga Shakti Nagpal.
"If suspension order is not revoked by Friday, we will convert our dharna into a hunger strike," said AAP worker Savita Sharma.
She claimed that other officers will not be able to work fearlessly and honestly if the order is not withdrawn.
"It will be victory for mining mafia which have been feeling free now. A man was also shot dead when he resisted the illegal mining," said Narinder Yadav.
He alleged that last night in Bisrakh too, members of mining mafia had fired at villagers when they had protested.
Sector Beta RWA representative Vikram Kasana and other gave a memorandum to deputy collector Anju Lata.

"The district needs honest and dedicated officers like Durga Shakti Nagpal who act fearlessly against land and mining mafias," said Harinder Bhati, RWA general secretary.
Hindu Yuva Vahini district president Chainpal Singh Bhati said MP Yogi Adityanath has written to state government expressing concern over the official's suspension and demanded revocation of her suspension order.
At Noida, BJP Mahila Morcha representatives led by Vimla Batham held protest at city magistrate's office and gave a memorandum demanding revocation of SDM's suspension order.
Nagpal, a 2010-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, was suspended on July 27 ostensibly for ordering demolition of wall of a mosque without following due process.
The officer, as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Gautam Budh Nagar, had cracked down on sand mafia active in that area of Uttar Pradesh.
